KDDI Corporation and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company will introduce "MOTOROLA XOOM™ Wi-Fi TBi11M" (manufactured by Motorola Mobility, Inc.), a tablet with the latest Android™ 3.0, after the first half of April, 2011.
"MOTOROLA XOOM™ Wi-Fi TBi11M" uses Android™ 3.0, which has been developed and optimized for tablets. This allows improvement in multi-tasking and widget-usages while realizing smooth user interface suited for tablets with larger screens. It adopts "NVIDIA® Tegra™ 2", a high-speed dual core chip, to enable comfortable video viewing, 3D display of Google map and faster and smoother web browsing.
The model has 10.1-inch HD display to allow users enjoy full HD video viewing and web browsing on the large screen. It also features Adobe Flash® Player [1].
Featuring Wi-Fi function, users can connect to indoor broadband networks such as "au HIKARI." Users can also connect to outdoor public wireless LAN service, or WiMAX and CDMA networks by using "Wi-Fi tethering" function of "htc EVO WiMAX ISW11HT".
A standard dock, a speaker dock, a Bluetooth keyboard, a standard case, a gel case, and an HDMI cable are available as accessories [2] of "Motorola XOOM™ Wi-Fi TBi11M".
"Motorola XOOM™ Wi-Fi TBi11M" will be displayed at KDDI Designing Studio in Harajuku, Tokyo, and au NAGOYA in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, from Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
