KDDI Announces the Expansion of Price Plans for 'Simple Course' and Introduction of Installment Payments for Handset Purchases

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular are pleased to introduce new advantageous price plans for the 'Simple Course' of 'au Purchase Program', both making it easy to understand differences with 'Full Support Course' price plans. At the same time, handsets can be purchased on an installment plan if purchased with the 'Simple Course' in order to meet the more diversified needs of customers. The new plans will begin on June 10, 2008.

For the seven new 'Simple Course' price plans, the 'Plan SS Simple' is 1,819 yen (tax included) and other plans are 1,680 yen (tax included), less expensive than the non-discounted 'Full Support Course' basic month service charge. In addition, it is also possible to make use of basic monthly charge discount services, such as the 'Everybody Discount'.

The 'Plan SS Simple' is extremely convenient with a basic monthly charge of 980 yen (tax included) based on the 'Everybody Discount' and 1,050 yen (tax included) in free calling charges.

Accompanying the introduction of the new 'Simple Course' price plans, new applications for the existing 'Simple Plan L' and 'Simple Plan S' will no longer be accepted after October 31, 2008.
