KDDI and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company will release the six models in a new au mobile phone lineup [1] successively from early June 2011 onwards.
"S007" is the high-function camera model that captures fantastic photos using the 16.2-mega pixel camera equipped with high-sensitive "Exmor R for Mobile" CMOS sensor, and "T007" with 12.2-mega pixel camera and "Omakase Select" [2] which recommends the best of 12 consecutive shots. The lineup includes the waterproof and dustproof "CA007" with "Adelie Penguin" original application for fun standby screen and email, "T008" with its sparkling illuminations, "K009" with its attractive combination of metal panel and LED, and the waterproof and dustproof "Simple Phone K010" which features easy-to-use keys and due consideration given to operability and visibility.
As well as launching "Skype™ au" [3] on au mobile phones, the phones will support Self Menu [3] for improving the user-friendliness of the menus, and a function that lets you transfer your settings for incoming/outgoing email, folder names, sort conditions, etc. [3] when you change models.
The model will be on display at KDDI Designing Studio in Harajuku, Tokyo and au NAGOYA in Nagoya, Aichi prefecture from Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Facebook page of au opens today to release information on products and events.
