KDD submitted a notification to the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications today to reduce its rates for the 0070 long-distance calls and the scale-up of discount for the KDD Wide Saver. The former is to be effective on April 11, and the latter, on May 1.
Details of the rate reduction and the scaled-up discount are as follows;

Scale-up of discount for KDD Wide Saver
Discount percentages, etc., will be scaled-up as follows in respect of "KDD Wide Saver" for corporation which offers discount for aggregated call charges for the 0070 long-distance calls and the international telephone service including 001 calls.

Discount applies to the 0070 long-distance calls, international direct dialing calls (001, 0052), Third-party Dial (0058), VIRNET calls (0056), KDD card calls (0055), operator-assisted calls (0051), Super Japan Direct, Japan Direct, and INMARSAT calls. |

When KDD's direct subscription type services are jointly used with KDD Wide Saver, a discount of 15 % in the case of Route KDD, and a discount of 20 % in the case of Bypass Line are respectively applied to domestic and international calls. |

In addition, international calls can be used at up to more than 40 % cheaper rates by combining with VIRNET calls. |
