Gist of the restructuring
* KDD-UK has been renamed "KDD Europe" and designated as the command center of all European operations.
* KDD's subsidiaries, KDD Deutschland and KDD Belgium, have been made subsidiaries of KDD Europe.
* "KDD France" has been established as a subsidiary of KDD Europe and will start business in France.
* Liaison offices in Rome, Madrid, and Cairo, which had been under the jurisdiction of KDD, have been placed under the administration of KDD Europe.

Before the restructuring, each of KDD's European operations had independently carried out sales and customer support activities. KDD anticipates that the new European network led by KDD Europe will be better coordinated to boost and expand the group's business when the telecommunications market is deregulated in Europe.

KDD, along with its offices in 24 cities around the world and overseas group companies including Telecomet group and Telehouse group, is building a business structure that can better meet the needs of customers. It is KDD's intention to further improve the quality and convenience of its services.
