KDD will reduce rates for IDD (International Direct Dialing) calls from November 1 for all countries and regions where the service is available. Together with this reduction, KDD will also extend the expanded late-night discount hours for both the "KDD Talk & Save Pack" and the "KDD Family Talk Pack".
- Reduction of IDD call rates
This reduction to take effect from November applies to all countries and regions where IDD service is provided by KDD (231 countries and regions) with the average rate of reduction at 11.1%. The maximum reduction in terms of country/region and hours is 33.3% (for a 3-minute call to the U.S.A., Hawaii, during the discount hours).
For example, the rate for a 3-minute call made to the U.S.A. during the standard hours will drop from 240yen to 180yen, the rate during the economy hours will drop from 210yen to 150yen, and the rate during the discount hours will drop from 180yen to 120yen. The rates will go down even further with the "KDD Talk & Save Pack" with the new rates being 162yen, 90yen and 90yen respectively.
Moreover, rates will undergo significant reductions for areas with heavier traffic such as Korea, China, the Philippines, Singapore, the U.K., Germany and France.

- Extension of expanded late-night discount hours for "KDD Talk & Save Pack"
The expanded late-night discount hours applicable to KDD's discount services for international and long-distance calls, namely "KDD Talk & Save Pack" and the "KDD Family Talk Pack", will be extended by two hours from the current 21:00 ~ 08:00 weekdays to 19:00 ~ 08:00 weekdays.
With this extension in the discount hours, customers using "KDD Talk & Save Pack" or "KDD Family Talk Pack" for international calls will be able to enjoy the rates for discount hours for all calls except those during the standard hours. In addition, customers are also able to enjoy a further discount for both time periods.

The discounts become applicable when call charges for a month exceed 300yen for "KDD Talk & Save Pack" and when call charges for a month exceed 1,000yen for "KDD Family Talk Pack".

The discount applicable to "KDD Family Talk Pack" is 12% for all time periods when call charges for a month is between 1,000yen and 6,000yen. However, when the call charges for a month exceed 6,000yen, the extended late-night discount rate are further discounted by 40%.
