KDDI Open Innovation Fund III Investing in Eclypsium, Firmware level cyber security startup

KDDI has invested in Eclypsium, Inc. (headquartered in Oregon, USA; Yuriy Bulygin, CEO; hereinafter "Eclypsium"), a firmware-level cyber security startup based in the US., through KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (operated by Global Brain Corporation; hereinafter "KOIF III") which aims to incubate new business co-creations with promising venture startups.
Eclypsium built a unique database based on its own research and information collected, and a self-developed scanner that can access firmware to diagnose vulnerabilities in firmware and help companies take appropriate measures to protect themselves from the growing risk of cyberattacks using firmware.
Through this investment, KDDI will support Eclypsium to pursue the penetration of the advanced responses to cyberattacks in Japanese enterprise market.
