On April 12, 2023, KDDI invested in New Innovations Inc. (Headquarters: IXINAL Monzennakacho 4F, 2-5-4 Fukuzumi, Koto-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Keito Nakao; hereinafter "New Innovations"), the operator of a business centered around OMO (Online Merges with Offline), through KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (operated by Global Brain Corporation; hereinafter "KOIF III"), which aims to invest in promising venture startups.
New Innovations operates a business centered around OMO (Online Merges with Offline) solutions and also develops hardware and builds software with a focus on labor-saving and automation. While the company is still a startup, it is establishing partnerships with global chains and domestic mega chains in the food and beverage and retail industries along with the development and mass-production of automatic cooking robots and the provision of consulting services. Moreover, the company supports the business transition and business growth of various industries and companies through those products and services to transform business models, cut costs through operational efficiency, and improve experience value.
Through this investment, KDDI will support the business growth of New Innovations by introducing customers and providing IoT modules and communication lines.
