KDDI CORPORATION

KDDI invested in THINKR inc. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kenjiro Harigai; hereinafter: "THINKR"), a creator of next-generation entertainment based on virtual technologies and music, through KDDI Open Innovation Fund III (operated by Global Brain Corporation; hereinafter "KOIF III"), which aims to incubate new business co-creations with promising venture startups.

THINKR is a dramatic design firm that is changing the social landscape with next-generation entertainment based on the management of virtual artists as represented by KAF and V.W.P as well as the planning and production of XR live content that projects a stunning world view. THINKR offers creator and artist management, and video production in an integrated manner and is building the standard for a "new form of craftsmanship" in the XR, experience-based entertainment, and virtual IP domains.

Through this investment, KDDI will promote the development of Japan's entertainment industry together with THINKR as it evolves into a virtual entertainment company.

As "the company that customers feel closest to," KDDI will continue to promote business co-creation through investment in promising startup companies, and create new business models together with customers and partners.
