Outline About Communication Failure on July 2, 2022
KDDI expresses its deepest apology for causing significant inconvenience and trouble to users of KDDI communication services across Japan for many hours due to the communication Failure ("This Failure") that started from 01:35 AM on July 2, 2022.
We take this incident seriously as a telecommunications carrier with a responsibility to support social infrastructures and provide stable services. We will ensure to take measures to prevent reoccurrence and will do everything we can for stable service operation.
We would like to add that we reported this failure to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on July 28, 2022.
