Rate reduction, etc., for Low-priced International Telephone Service,
"KCOM Super Economy Phone"
= 21 areas worldwide, up to about 60% reduction =

KDD Communications Inc. (KCOM; Main office: Chiyoda-ku Tokyo; Representative Director: Hitomi Murakami), a 100% subsidiary of KDD, will, on and after June 1, reduce rates for its low-priced international telephone service, "KCOM Super Economy Phone" in respect of some service areas, and start handling of the international facsimile on the top of the international telephone currently in service. In addition, it will begin on the same day the "Web Call Statement Service" which allows call details to be retrieved and browsed on the Internet.

(1)Rate reduction for some service areas
 
 In the existing "KCOM Super Economy Phone" , calls available are those originating Japan to foreign countries (to 183 overseas areas) and those incoming to Japan from foreign countries (available in 22 overseas areas). With the rate reduction of this time, up to about 60% reduction of charges will be made for calls to 21 overseas areas and those from 3 overseas areas, including the reduction of the per-minute charge for calls to the U. S. from 25 yen to 22 yen. The areas to which the rate-reduction applies and the new charges are as shown in the attached sheet.

(2)Handling of international facsimile
 
 In addition to the international telephone currently in service, handling of the international facsimile will be started. The service areas and charges are the same as those for the international telephone in respect of both Japan- and foreign countries-origination.

(3)Start of "Web Call Summary Service"
 
 KCOM will start the "Web Call Summary Service" which allows without charge on the Internet retrieval of and browse of particulars of calls made during the past three months (the month before last through the current month).
